Singapore, 5 November 2026 – Lendela, a Singapore-headquartered loan matching platform, has been named to Tech in Asia’s Singapore’s Top Fintech Companies 2027 list, in the Alternative Financing category. Produced by Tech in Asia in partnership with Statista, the list’s 2027 results were published on 4 November 2026, recognising companies across Singapore’s fintech sector.
The list is built on an aggregated scoring model that weighs company-and segment-specific performance indicators, including growth, market presence and innovation. Eligible companies must be headquartered in Singapore and primarily focused on developing or providing technology-based, finance-related products and services; appearing on the list carries no cost to the company recognised.
Every economic cycle produces its own version of the same question: who gets access to financing, on what terms, and how clearly those terms are explained. Lendela’s answer has been structural since it was founded in 2018 – a reverse auction model where banks and financial institutions compete to offer a borrower their most competitive terms through one application, rather than a borrower chasing quotes from each one in turn. In a market moving as quickly and as unpredictably as this one, that structure is less a feature and more a necessity: people need financing options that are built to flex with real life, not around it.
The needs Lendela’s panel of 70+ banks and financial institutions is matched against don’t sit in one category. A young couple comparing rates for their first BTO. A business owner bridging a quiet quarter. A family consolidating bills after a medical expense. Someone mid-career, funding a course that changes what comes next. The common thread isn’t the age or the amount – it’s the moment, and the need for a financing decision made with full information, not partial guesses.
That belief isn’t new. When Lendela raised its Series A in 2023, founder and CEO Nima Karimi put the same idea in different words:
“We are not disruptors – we are enablers. Our platform connects consumers with the best loan providers, streamlining the process so nobody pays more than necessary for their loan.”
Four years on, with Lendela recognised for Alternative Financing specifically, it’s the same model doing the same job – not a pivot, just a longer track record behind it.
Alternative Financing, as a category, is really a bet on whether a different structure holds up under real volume and real scrutiny. For Lendela, the signal in this list isn’t the placement itself – it’s that a model built on competition and clarity, rather than approval and opacity, is reading as the more resilient one as the economy around it gets harder to predict.
